George A. Smith, Jr. thinks Tallahassee is great and wants you to think that too! He is a graduate of Lincoln High School, Tallahassee Community College and The Florida State University with degrees in Finance and Law where he was a member of the Seminole Torchbearers Council of 100 and the International Economics Honor Society. He is a shareholder with Bryant Miller Olive P.A. and has practiced public finance law for the past 16 years representing clients as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, issuer’s counsel and underwriter’s counsel in Florida tax-exempt debt issuances exceeding $23 billion in aggregate principal amount.
He has served as a Board member of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce and is a past (2015) Chair of Leadership Tallahassee. He is currently the financial expert member of the Blueprint 2000 Citizens Advisory Committee. He has served as a mentor with the Take Stock in Children program through Tallahassee Community College and is a member of the Impact Circle for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend.
