Rick Neves (Stage Manager) has worked on the tech side of Tallahassee theatre for over ten years in roles ranging from refreshment server to director. Back in 2000, his first-ever involvement in theatre was as a House Management Team Leader during the Southern Shakespeare Festival’s (SSF) performance of The Tempest, after which SSF closed. It seems a fitting coincidence that he again becomes involved with the newly revived SSF.
Over the years, Rick has stage managed shows at Quincy Music Theatre (Little Shop of Horrors) and Theatre Tallahassee (TT) (Shadowlands, Three Tall Women, Steel Magnolias and Biloxi Blues). He directed the farce Move Over, Mrs. Markham at TT. He stage managed The Playboy of the Western World and The Shaughraun for the Irish Repertory Theatre. Most recently, he has stage managed a handful of shows with the Canopy Roads Theatre Company, including Zelda at the Oasis, Anne and Emmett, and Collected Stories.
