To my dear Friends of Shakespeare,
I am excited to announce that beginning October 1, 2020, I will be taking on a new challenge as the Director of Strategic Planning and Partnerships for the Southern Shakespeare Company (SSC).
As Executive Director for the past seven years, I have overseen Southern Shakespeare Company’s expansion of our educational outreach programs, inspiring students and finding opportunities for growth in the communities served by the Southern Shakespeare Company. Moreover, it has been breathtaking to see our Free Shakespeare in the Park Festival grow to audiences of 8,000 to 10,000 for our (now) four-day weekend event.
During my tenure as Executive Director, I have learned that the strength of Southern Shakespeare Company lies in the vision of SSC’s Board of Directors and the talent and skill our incredible education and artistic staff, grant support, extraordinary sponsorship and membership support, our volunteers, and the many community partnerships forged along the way. I feel beyond blessed to be a part of a community that supports the arts and to see the arts foster such a cooperative and collaborative spirit.
My new position as Director of Strategic Planning and Partnerships will afford me the opportunity to focus my time on our community partnerships, engagement, and advancement for our organization. And once our new Executive Director is on board, I will look forward to making the introductions to you!
I am eager to begin my work in this new capacity, advancing Southern Shakespeare Company’s mission with the same energy, commitment, and passion, as always.
More exciting news to come!
Yours truly and always,
