Shakespeare’s Cosmos is an original, immersive play performed inside the Challenger Center planetarium, where the dome becomes the sky, the cosmos, and the stage. Stunning projections create a celestial world where Earth, Air, Water, and Fire—the elemental forces of nature—gather to decide the fate of humanity.

This year’s production features an entirely new script—reimagined with fresh dialogue, updated projections, and a bold new take on the elemental trial of humankind.

Blending Shakespearean verse with contemporary language, this poetic courtroom drama explores climate, creation, and conscience. The audience becomes the jury—and even joins in—as the Elements argue: Has humanity earned the right to continue, or should the world be reclaimed by nature?

Actors wear self-illumination so that the stunning dome projections remain the visual centerpiece. The cast includes four performers, each portraying a personified Element. Air defends humanity; Earth, Water, and Fire bring the charges.

Visually arresting, thought-provoking, and unlike anything else—Shakespeare’s Cosmos blurs the line between classical theatre and science fiction.

Evening show schedule

• 7:00 pm – check in, bar opens
• 7:00 – 7:45 pm – reception, “space games,” light snacks provided
• 8:00 pm – performance in the planetarium
• One premixed alcoholic Galaxy Cosmo or non-alcoholic lemonade included in ticket price.
