Meet at our first stop, Hummingbird Kitchen & Wine Bar (1216-4 North Monroe Street)

Come one, come all, to the third annual Tallahassee Bard Crawl! Strike up the trolley bell: SSC kicks off in September with a two‑night pub tour that pairs craft drinks with pop‑up Shakespearean scenes. Patrons will hop between hand‑picked venues, sampling both local flavor and iambic pentameter. Director Derek Nieves leads this rollicking scene‑by‑scene exploration of comedy and context, while our actors transform tavern corners into tiny stages.
The Bard Crawl is a four-stop adventure through the Capital City. At each venue, your ticket gets you an immersive Shakespearean scene and one adult or regular beverage. On each trolley ride, take in Tallahassee (and some bar snacks!) while your host entertains you. It’s an energetic, unique, and unforgettable event.
This year, we are stopping at:

Hummingbird Kitchen & Wine Bar (1216-4 North Monroe Street), Hayward House (228 South Adams St.), and Ology Brewing Co (118 E 6th Ave).

Bar(d) Crawl Know Before You Go:
– Each Trolley has room for 45 but limited seating. If you need a guaranteed seat, please line up early for the trolley or reach out to bianca@southernshakes.org to reserve a seat.
– There will be adult beverages and regular beverages at each stop.

This year’s Bar(d) Crawl is serving up scenes with a side of spirits—and we’re hitting every corner of Shakespeare’s wild imagination:
Stop 1: 👑 King Lear at Hummingbird – Betrayal cuts deepest when it wears a crown… and this royal tragedy hits hard (even with a drink in hand).
Stop 2: 🩸 Macbeth at Hayward House – A taste of triumph spiced with destiny’s curse, where heroes are made in battle and villains are born in ambition.
Stop 3: 🌀 Comedy of Errors at Ology – One face, two brothers, and absolutely zero clue what’s going on. Double vision has never been this funny.
Stop 4: 🎶 Twelfth Night back to Hummingbird – Merriment, music, and mayhem—Elizabethan style. It’s Shakespeare’s ultimate after-hours party.
