A Midsummer Night’s Dream

✨ A “Walking” Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Tallahassee Museum

Weather Update for May 9: A “Walking” Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Tallahassee Museum

Tonight’s weather has forced the fairies back into the forest, and unfortunately we must cancel this evening’s performance of A Walking Midsummer Night’s Dream.

We are deeply grateful for your support and disappointed that we cannot share tonight’s adventure with you. The safety of our audience, cast, crew, and volunteers must come first.

Ticket holders, please check your email for important information and next steps.

Thank you for supporting Southern Shakespeare Company and this magical production. 💚✨

✨ Shows are SOLD out, but you can still join the fun!

All performances of A Walking Midsummer Night’s Dream are officially sold out—thank you for the incredible support! But the magic isn’t over. You can still be part of the experience by joining our volunteer team. From guiding audiences as an Adventure Leader to serving guests at the bar, assisting at the merch tent, or supporting as a general volunteer, there are plenty of ways to step into the story and help bring the forest to life. Join us behind the scenes and be part of the magic! ✨🌿

✨ SOLD out: April 30, May 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9!

To close our season, the live-oak groves of the Tallahassee Museum will transform into fairy-filled pathways for a truly immersive theatrical experience: A “Walking” Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Over two magical weekends — April 30, May 1, May 2, May 3, May 7, May 8, and May 9 at 7:30 PM — small audience clusters will wander a guided woodland trail, encountering Puck’s pranks, Titania’s enchanting court, and the Rude Mechanicals’ comic capers beneath starlit clearings and moss-draped oaks. Zip lines will even carry our faeries through the treetops, adding high-flying wonder to this 120-minute, no-intermission adventure.

This is Shakespeare as you’ve never experienced it — fully outdoors, fully immersive, and full of surprise at every turn.

Important Notes:
This is a two-hour walking event through uneven, unpaved, wooded nature paths. Seating is extremely limited. This performance is not recommended for guests with mobility challenges or those who may struggle on outdoor trails.

Let us lead you into the forest… if you dare.
